This window enables you to create a postcard based on your
work with the program. The window consists of the following sections:
 |
Work area |
 |
Layers list |
 |
Buttons: "Add text", "Print postcard",
"Save to file" and "Send via e-mail" |
Work area:
When the window is opened, the image to appear on the postcard appears in the work
area and the layers "Background" and "Image" appear in the layers
list. The image has been made into a single layer which you can move, scale or rotate as
you wish. To move the layer, drag it with the mouse: the cursor will assume the form of
small hand. To change the size of the layer, drag its edges with the mouse: the cursor
will assume the form of an arrow. To rotate the layer, move the cursor behind the image
and, keeping the left mouse button pressed, move it to the left and right: the cursor will
assume the form of a circle of arrows. To move the text added to the postcard (see below
for how to add text), mark it in the list of layers by clicking on it, click on it in the
work area and, keeping the left mouse button pressed, move the cursor in the desired
direction.
Layers list:
This list reflects the layers making up the postcard. The layers "Background"
and "Image" are always present. The "Background" can be either
monochromatic, or it can be any loaded file. If you double-click on "Background"
in the layers list, the postcard background
window will open offering you several options for changing the background. The
"Image" layer is the image on which the postcard is based. The "Text"
layer contains text to appear on the postcard. If you double-click on "Text" in
the list, the postcard text window will open
offering you options for changing the text and its properties. The sequence of layers on
the postcard can be changed by dragging and dropping the entries in the layers list. You
can delete any layer by marking it in the list and pressing the Delete
button on your keyboard.
Buttons:
"Add text"
enables you to
add text to the postcard. A window will open
with various options for formatting the text.
"Print postcard"
prints the postcard you've created.
"Save to file"
saves the finished postcard to a file.
allows you to send the postcard via e-mail.
